H. H. Latham is the chairman of the entertainment committee of the Chicago Athletic Association.
In an early article talking of this event it is said the Empire Athletic Club would be co-promoting, but they were never mentioned after that singular article as promoters.
Dr. B. F. Roller got the first refusal at Gotch. Roller was unable to make it though.
Hakenschmidt is said to have cancelled other engagements in order to be at the show for his manager, Jack Curley who is from Chicago.
