Lewis won both falls with the strangle hold.
It appeared Carkeek was injured at the end of the first fall and had to take longer to come back out then was agreed upon.
After the second fall Carkeek had to be assisted up and out of the ring, is said he suffered internal injuries which are "Like to prevent his ever engaging in another match."

Three Falls to One (F1 00:04:20 - F2 00:05:15 - F3 ??:??:?? - F4 ??:??:?? - C 00:09:35+)
Notes:
Originally Joe Acton was set to face Lewis on this day for the "World Catch-as-Catch-Can Championship." The match was signed and monetary forfeits had been posted, however, in the stipulations for the for the contest it was stated that neither man should compete before their contest. After the contracts were signed, Lewis fought Jack Carkeek and thus violated the contract. It was said to have been agreed that if Lewis paid the forfeit the match could continue, it appears the forfeit was never paid and instead Lewis faced Carkeek in a rematch. Acton and Lewis would eventually square off in April of this year.
Carkeek who had been defeated on March 3 by Lewis (The match that cost him a shot at the title) was said to have been injured so severely in that match he may never wrestle again. Clearly this was not the case as 11 days later he was taking on the very same man who had injured him.

Carkeek was billed as the former two-time world's champion at Cornish style. It's said he is a real oldtimer of the game, being roughly the same age as Farmer Burns. In a later article Carkeek is listed as having held the Catch-as-Catch-Can, Graeco-Roman and Cornish World Titles.
Even though it was previously reported Beel lost his title to Americus, he was listed as the American Light Heavyweight Catch-as-Catch-Can Champion. Then later he is again noted as losing the title to Americus.
Carkeek suffered a dislocated shoulder and when Beel threw him for the first fall the referee awarded the match to him also.
Match 3's participants are described as "Two seventy-eight-pound lads."
