In an article posted a few days later, a letter is reprinted from Dom Nazor, but signed on behalf of the Austrians present on Saturday night, and it stated: "Professor Shima's Austrian Opponent-Hector Anderson, the Austrian wrestler who engaged in a bout with Prof. Shima at the Bellevue Gardens on Saturday night, is not recognised by the Austrian community as a champion. In fact, every third Austrian you meet on the fields can beat him."
