In the Nebraska State Journal on September 1 Gotch is listed as the World Heavyweight Champion, and on the September 3 he is listed as the United States Champion. The Licoln Star also refers to Gotch as the American Champion "and a disputant with Hackenschmiudt for the championship of the world."
Burns is listed as the World Middleweight Champion.
Faulkner is listed as the Canadian Heavyweight Champion.
Erickson is listed as the Dakotas Heavyweight Champion.
Donke is listed as the Dakotas Middlewieght Champion.
Byrnes is listed as the Iowa Middleweight Champon.
Voss is listed as the Illinois Middleweight Champion.
Simmer is listed as the World's Strongest Man at heavyweight lifting and said to be a "mixed wrestler without a peer in America."
Gotch is to go onto the mat 2 nights, while Burns is to wrestle 3 nights.
The show starts at 20:30.
Erickson won with a half-Nelson in fall one.
Dunke won with a scissors hold in fall two.
Erickson used a crotch and collar hold for the final fall.
The above results are from the Nebraska State Journal. The Star said "Dunke won from John Erickson."
Simmer gave a demosntration and a lecture, where he lifted "huge dumb bells over his head with one hand, and did some fancy stunts with a large iron bar that required three men to lift off the floor."
Faulkner used a crotch hold for both falls.
Burns won with a leg hold in the first fall and a crotch and collar in the second.
Gotch appeared and "made a few remarks."

It's said there had been much demand for a Graeco-Roman match.
One paper said Gotch used an English cross lock and cross buttock to win.
It's said this is Simmer's first loss.
Gotch-Burns was advertised as two out of three falls to a finish, but it did not come off that way.
One paper said Gotch beat Burns with an English cross lock and cross buttock, another said he used a toehold.
Who won the $2,500 is never said.

'That was a deadly lock I happened to get on Mr. Beell, and he had to come,' said the Farmer.
'I would like another chance,' said Mr. Beell when he had a chance to make his talk. Some thought he wanted another chance for the third fall and some thought he wanted another match.
Beell admits the referee's decision is final and does not deny he was thrown fairly, but wants anothr match for $1,000.
'I have friends who will put up $1,000 that I can throw Beell again,' said Farmer Burns."
Between the falls of the main match Counseman and Burlew gave exhibitions of country wrestling, tumbling and balancing.

Carkeek was billed as the former two-time world's champion at Cornish style. It's said he is a real oldtimer of the game, being roughly the same age as Farmer Burns. In a later article Carkeek is listed as having held the Catch-as-Catch-Can, Graeco-Roman and Cornish World Titles.
Even though it was previously reported Beel lost his title to Americus, he was listed as the American Light Heavyweight Catch-as-Catch-Can Champion. Then later he is again noted as losing the title to Americus.
Carkeek suffered a dislocated shoulder and when Beel threw him for the first fall the referee awarded the match to him also.
Match 3's participants are described as "Two seventy-eight-pound lads."
