I've only found mention of this match in out of state newspapers.
I have not found mention of Gotch's surgery in the state of Minnesota either.

Crack Middleweight Traveling With Carnival Company
Albert Frances, the crack Minneapolis middleweight wrestler is traveling with a carnival company through the western part of the state. All that Al has to do two or three times each day is lock horns with some brawny farmer and try to pin him to the mat. So far the local athlete has had great success and he feels that he will not have very much training to do in the fall to get into shape. Some day Al meets as many as 15 men, ranging in weights from 150 to 250 pounds.
He has been at Redwood Falls for a few days and will next flop his tent at Wood Lake, Minnesota" - The Str Tribune
