Note:
The losing team "protested Referee Billy Romanoff's method of counting for the pin fall that ended the match.
'We want Yankee rules about these pin falls,' declared Parker, and Promoter Gus Kallio explained later that 'Yankee Rules' in the wrestling lingo meant the referee was to count to three in a loud voice when 'patting the canvas' for a pin fall.
The Parker-Mack team protested Romanoff just patted the floor and Mack, who was on the bottom, didn't know he was being counted down or he would have lifted a shoulder." - Morning World

Note:
There is a dispute over the finish as a police officer thought he saw something in the hand of Thomas during the match which was used to knockout Curtis in the final fall. The lockerroom was search, but nothing was found. It's then said Billy Romanoff noticed the weapon outside of the arena behind the dressing room. The object was a piece of metal wrapped in tap, a home made set of brass knuckles. A rematch is ordered for the following week, however, Curtis says he wants to face Thomas one-on-one as it's they who have the issue. This is granted.
