JANUARY 1913
JANUARY 10, 1913 (FRIDAY)
Promoter: Barton
Buckingham Theater, Louisville, Kentucky
Referee: Anderson
1 - Catch-as-Catch-Can - Two out of Three Falls - To A Finish
William Demetral "The Terrible Greek" def. Bob Fredericks "French-Canadian" (of Lansing, Iowa),
Two Falls to None (F! WD 00:38:00 - F2 WD 00:15:00 - C 00:53:00)
Notes:
Demetral used a half-Nelson and front crotch in the first fall and a toehold in the second.
[The story goes Promoter Bill Barton had wanted to invite Bob Fredriech to the show, however, he accidentally sent the invite to the wrong city.
Due to that error, Bob Managoff adopted the name Bob Fredericks here.

JANUARY 24, 1913 (FRIDAY)
Promoter: W.H. Barton
Buckingham Theater, Louisville, Kentucky
1 - Two out of Three Falls - Catch-as-Catch-Can
Ed "Strangler" Lewis (of Lacrosse, Wis.) Vs. Bob Fredericks "French-Canadian" (of Lansing, Ia.),
Two Falls to One (F1 EL 00:17:00 - F2 BF 00:22:00 - F3 EL 00:12:00 - C 00:51:00)
Notes:
Lewis weighs 208lbs and Fredericks 210lbs.
Lewis is said to be 21 years old and six feet one inch in height.
The rules for the match were whoever got the shortest fall could choose if the stranglehold was allowed or not in the final one, should it be needed.
During the match both men fell into the orchestra floor, Lewis seemingly getting the worst of it.
Lewis used the stranglehold for his wins.
Fredericks used a toehold for the second fall.
[Bob Fredriech finally got to Louisville, but could not use his normal name Bob Fredericks as Bob Managoff already had adopted it.
Therefore Promoter Bill Barton christened Bob Fredriech as Ed "Strangler" Lewis.
There were sporting bouts between the falls.
