Lee Wyckoff was involved in a car crash this afternoon
Notes:
Two motor cars collided at Joyce road and Georgia avenue.
Wyckoff was driving one car and survived uninjured.
His wife, Mrs. Wyckoff; her 19 year old daughter, Dorothy Wyckoff; and Ray Lampert, of Ankeny, Ia. are believed to have suffered internal injuries.
Dorothy is said to be a student nurse at Bethany.
Lee is said to live at Joyce and Nearman roads in Wyandotte County.
The other car was driven by Wade W. Grosen.
Grosen lives at 5022 High street in Kansas City, Kansas.
Grosen also escaped injury.

The referee declared the bout a draw and Orville Brown still the champion.

Graham threw Bruns out of the ring after that, "Temporarily, at least, Bruns thought himself a superman, and for a few minutes he was as good as the comic character who wears the big S.
Bruns leaped back into the ring, blasted Graham to the mat and then piled the referee, Promoter Orval McCain and Wrestler Orville Brown on the canvas, taking them on singly and in pairs. Finally the four men ganged up on Bruns and got him down. They carried him to the dressing room, apparently still out of his head."

During the show an appeal was made on behalf of the emergency food collection being made by the Women's Chamber of Commerce.
Members of the audience shouted, "We can't get bread either" and "We want meat too."
"Tudor Nellor, a member of the Legion, was introduced to speak in behalf of the drive. The crowd refused to listen. Mostly there was booing, but a few shouts expressing displeasure at the meat and bread situation at home were heard.
Nellor made several unsuccessful attempts to get the attention of the audience"
Collection boxes were passed around, but no count was made of the sum raised.
Bruns won the first fall with a flying head scissors.
Brown used a piledriver for the second.
Bruns won the third fall when Brown threw him from the ring and repeatedly blocked his return.
Brown disputed the loss saying the referee was too quick to disqualify him.
Simpson, the Legion and the referee said Bruns would be recognized as the champion.
