When they made arrangements for Dempsey to come, it's said George told Dempsey he'd miss the Roosevelt's footbal game today, and he's a rabid fan.
Dempsey replied, "Meet me at the airport at 8:35," he continued, "and we'll both go to the game, I'd like to see 'em myself."
