Bauer is listed as the French Graeco-Roman Champion.

"The Constitution says:- 'Instead of wasting whole columns for or against authors, the critics would do well to pattern by the example of a certain Georgia literary society of which an exchange says - 'There was a lively meeting of the literary club last night, at which the secretary and treasurer engaged in a wrestling match to decide which was the best poet: Tennyson or Kipling? The secretary was for Tennyson, the treasurer for for Kipling. The latter threw the secretary three times and Kipling won out." - Singapore Straits Times

Trombley had won following the first two falls. The third fall was still used though.
With this win it is said company A now has the wrestling records in two different regiments.
