"Mexico is being disgraced. A Mexican paper thus states: 'An American named Smith has lately organized a pugilistic function at Mazatlan. For this purpose there will come from San Francisco two pugilists who will give the exhibition, the prize being awarded to the victor. After the encounter pugilistic, according to the custom of the athletic clubs of the United States, a wrestling bout will take place between two North American individuals.' - The Tampa Weekly Tribune

"Gladiator" Romulus "the Italian Hercules" (of Mexico City) Vs. A Wild Bull,
Time-Limit - Romulus failed to throw the bull
Notes:
Romulus also performed feats of strength. Musical and other performances being put on through-out the night.
The bull threw Romulus twice.
It's said the bull is a four-year-old shorthorn, weighing 1,600lbs.
Romulus had two toreros assiting him.
