"Great Wrestling Tournament
Herr Beketow has concluded arrangements with leading champions at present here and abroad to hold the biggest Graeco-Roman Wresting Tournament ever seen here or on the Continent. It is to commence on February 3. France, Germany, Russia, Turkey, Italy , Servia and other countries will be represented. Additional entries are arriving daily. Forty entrants have so far been enrolled, and all competitors will parade nightly in the ring at Hengler's. The prizes include one of £500.
A jury of sporting experts will select competitors who shall wrestle against each other every day, thus avoiding any collusion or prearranged results. It is expected that the competitions will last a mont, as the performances will take place only at night." - The Observer

Notes:
The Guardian was not overly praising of Gotch's sketch.
The journalist called it a "thin disuise of a sketch," then continued, "[it] is really a bit of wrestling - with decorations. These trimmings are flimsy, and serve to work up interest in the wrestle, in which Gotch makes a hash of 'the world's champion' (not the cunning allusion). The wrestler's backer, in the play, become a loud friend urging him to fame, despite a shill aunt."
Words such as "hunches," "smooth-guys," "hoodies," and "pikers" are used during the sketch. Those words were considered to be inside wrestling terms.
It's said the house enjoyed seeing Toch.
"The programme-writer has scored another invention here; it was an 'athletic sketch.' 'Athletic' is excellent."
"What Women do for Men" is somewhat of a raunchy melodrama.

"Professional Wrestling.
Board of Control Disbanded.
The following statement has been issued by the hon. secretary of te Professional Wrestling Board, of Control:-
'At a meeting of the Professional Wrestling Board of Control, held yesterday at the Queen's Hotel (London), it was decided that in view of the fact that both Hackenschmidt and Gotch respectively have declined to meet Zbysco and Lemm respectively, as arranged by the Board, the Board should disband. In doing so the Board expressed regret that it has found it impossible to perform the duty for which it was elected, viz. the promotion of straightforward matches. The Board desired publicly to express it's appreciation of the attitude of Lemm, who was the only wrestler to deposit his $200 forfeit with the hon. secretary of the Board." - The Manchester Guardian

1 - Handicap - Gotch to Throw Dinnie Twice in Thirty Minutes
Frank Gotch def. George Dinnie (of Sheffield)
(F1 00:01:15 - F2 00:00:50 - C 00:02:05)
Notes:
An Omaha newspaper quoting the Sheffield Evening Mail lists Dinnie as being nothing more than "a mere toy in the hands of the American." They also state Dinnie lost in eight minutes and forty seconds to Hackenschmidt and sixteen minutes agaisnt Zbysco.
George Dinnie is quoted as saying:
"If I hadn't given up on the toe-hold, Gotch would have broken my foot."
The paper went on to say, "The straightest wrestle that ever took place in Sheffield."
Everything Dinnie had to say of Gotch was extremely complimentary.
