DECEMBER 1909
DECEMBER 9, 1909 (FRIDAY)
Graeco-Roman Tournament
Havana, La Habana, Cuba
Teilnehmer / Participants:
Madsen (of Denmark),
Hjalmar Lundin (of Hartford via Sweden),
Jacobson (of Norway),
Strobant (of Belgium) [Henri Stroobant],
Perelli (of Italy),
Johnson (of America),
Cordarelli (of Turkey).
Ende Hinweise / End Notes:
Fourteen other wrestlers are to take part in the tournament. Jack McGrath was invited to go, but did not.
"The tournament is one of a series of international matches that have been arranged. It is to be a sort of continuous affair, with wrestlers going from place to place, some dropping out and others entering. All the wrestlers are entered in the same class and each man will meet every other man on the list. The meet will be a long one." This quote like all of the information for the tournament is from a letter Lundin sent to a Waterbury exchange."
