Tomlinson is listed as the Great Britain Champion.
Rodigo is listed as the South American Champion.
Before the match got underway Tomlinson informed Rodigo he would not let him win and it would be a real match. Tomlinson was awarded the match as a forfeit and a riot broke out with the natives and matadors in attendance pulling knives and attacking the supporters of Tomlinson, the riot quieted down when the lights went out, but as soon as they got outside the riot picked back up again. There were many injuries sustained.
