Notes:
At different points Jack Pye and Jan Krumin were scheduled for the show.
The report that I found was rather negative on the show, saying the action was obviously fake.
[In September 1932 an American by the name of Jeff Dickson promoted a couple of US/catch style shows in Paris at Salle Wagram.
Dickson was a major boxing promoter in Europe, owned the Palais des Sports arena in Paris (where all of the big Raoul Paoli/Henri Deglane shows were held later on) and also had a hand in bringing American style pro wrestling to England in 1930.
His September 1932 shows in Paris were billed as pankration and pankration-fighting (instead of catch and/or freestyle wrestling as the shows were known later on under Paoli and Deglane).
This show in Algiers was directly inspired by the Dickson shows in Paris.
All the articles say this was the first show of this kind in the history of Algeria.
The hype for the show was along the lines of "come and watch a style of wrestling that has been a sensation in the States and England, and was recently seen in Paris too".]
