October began with a card held on the 1st in Shreveport. On that card Jack Curtis defeated Rube Wright in the one fall opening match.
George Curtis took two out of three falls to win the semi-final match against Doran O’Hara.
The main event was a World Light-Heavyweight title match with champion Henry Harrell defending the title against Jack (Stinger) Steele. Steele had held that same title several years earlier and was looking to win it again. Harrell took two out of three falls to win the match and retain his title.
On Tuesday in Monroe, George Curtis and George Harben fought to a draw in the opening match.
Jack Curtis pinned Rube Wright following a body slam to win the second match of the night just before the time limit expired.
In the main event the Curtis Brothers teamed to take on Harben & Wright in a tag team match. The Curtis team won the first fall as they caught Harben & Wright in a rowboat maneuver and forced them both to submit. In the second fall the Curtis Brothers concentrated their attack on the smaller Wright. They took turns body slamming him until Jack pinned him to win the match for the brothers in two straight falls.
That same night in Baton Rouge, Farmer (Hillbilly Spunky) Brown made his debut in the area facing Johnny Harmon in the opening match. Brown, who was accompanied to the ring by his valet Daisy Mae, was a colorful character but wrestled in a clean style. He and Harmon swapped holds evenly but Brown pinned Harmon to win the single fall match.
In the main event Chief Little Fox got another chance at the Skull. Much like their match the previous week in Alexandria, the Skull pinned Little Fox in the deciding fall with the Indian’s feet over the bottom rope. Referee Blackie Harrelson failed to see this and counted Little Fox out. Just as he was about to name the masked man the winner, Commissioner Dick Cointment entered the ring and declared the match a no contest.
Also on Tuesday in Decatur, nothing is known on the card held there other than Garza Lozano was one of the featured wrestlers.
On Wednesday in Alexandria, Farmer Brown and Johnny Harmon met in the opening match. Harmon used a series of flying mares and an alligator clutch on Brown and pinned him to win the first fall. Brown came back with the same exact technique and pinned Harmon to win the second fall. In the third and deciding fall Brown kept Harmon trapped in a headlock until Harmon was weakened enough to be pinned, giving the fall and the match to Brown.
The main event was a return match between Chief Little Fox and the Skull. The first fall saw both men using rough tactics but ended with the Skull flattening Little Fox with a rabbit punch to the back of the head and pinning him to win the fall. Little Fox won the second fall when he forced the Skull to submit to an Indian Death-lock. During the third and deciding fall both men threw what little was left of the rules and the window and spent much of the time choking and gouging each other. At one point Little Fox was on top of the Skull and choking the masked man with both hands. Referee Phil Brummett tried to break things up but an irate Little Fox floored him with a tomahawk chop. Brummett immediately disqualified Little Fox and awarded the fall and the match to the Skull.
That same night in Gulfport, the card opened with a match between two frequent partners facing each other in the forms of Rube Wright and George Harben. Harben forced Wright to submit to a step-over toehold to win the first fall in 16 minutes. Wright came back and forced Harben to submit to a Boston Crab in 5 minutes to take the second fall. The third and deciding fall also lasted 5 minutes but was won by Harben who body slammed Wright and pinned him to win the fall and the match.

The semi-final was a tag team match with Jack & George Curtis teaming to take on Pat Cronin & Jack Steele. Following the match the ringside fans, which included Mississippi Governor Fielding Wright, called for Cronin’s banishment.

In the fourth round Newman landed a straight right to Cronin’s nose and drew blood. Cronin was knocked down but got up at the count of 6. Cronin then floored Newman with a rabbit punch but refused the order to go to a neutral corner. The delay allowed Newman to regain his footing before a count. Cronin’s nose continued to bleed throughout the next two rounds, in which he kept Newman in clinches. In the ninth round Cronin added a little wrestling with his boxing as he used a knee lift on Newman. Newman came back with some wrestling of his own as he dropkicked Cronin twice in the tenth round and following them both with punches. Steele didn’t wait for referee Pat Willis to raise his hand and he left the ring and went back to the dressing room. Willis determined that Steele’s use of the knee to the throat was not legal and reversed his decision on the fall. He summonsed Steele back to the ring and restarted the match. Wright was still groggy and was no match for Steele, who body slammed him and pinned him to win the fall in 3 minutes to take the match.

Cronin was once again on the run at the start of the second fall but this time it was George Curtis he was running from. George managed to catch Cronin and gave him a couple of well-placed punches before tagging Jack into the match. Jack applied an octopus hold on Cronin and forced him to give up, giving the second fall to the Curtis duo. The new official was named Emir Badu. The name was new but the person wasn’t. He had wrestled in the area the previous year under the name Sheik Ali Khan. He explained that he had risen in rank within his Arabian tribe and had achieved the rank of Emir and was now using the family name of Badu as his own. Despite the fact that he was supposed to be a ring official, Badu wrestled in the opening match against Farmer Brown. Brummett was at ringside and available but Garza Lozano was assigned as referee instead. Badu pinned Brown to win the first fall of their match. Brown, with encouragement from his second, Daisy Mae, came back strong and won the next two falls over Badu to win the match.

Each man scored a knockdown in the second round and Newman sent Cronin to his knees again right at the bell. The third round saw both men wrestling as much as boxing. In the fourth round Newman started using body blocks on Cronin and had him reeling. Cronin recovered enough to knock Newman down for a six count. As Newman got to his feet Cronin floored him again and then kicked him in the side. In the fifth round Newman once again knocked Cronin down and this time was the one kicking as he planted a foot in Cronin’s side. Cronin got up and the count of seven but Newman floored him again.
