The following is a fantasy piece constructed for the PWHS!
Hello again fans of the PWHS! It's that time, where, The Sheaster, runs wild with yet another Fantasy Friday! This is the second part of my Invasion of the WWF/WWE in 2001 when the WWF purchased WCW and ECW. So, sit back, relax, and hopefully, enjoy!
May 2001: INVASION on PPV!
The announce team for the night features one WWF announcer, one WCW announcer, and one ECW announcer! They are, Jim Ross (WWF), Perry Saturn (ECW), and Mike Tenay (WCW)!
Doing backstage interviews for the night will be Mean Gene Okerlund!
The show starts off with Paul Heyman, standing in the ring with something in his hand! He tells everyone that he has a surprise in store tonight! He calls out Tazz. Tazz comes out and asks...
"What's up Paulie?!"
Heyman responds...
"Tazz, ever since you came here to the WWF, they have held you down! They have never seen your full potential, and as long as you work for the WWF, that's always going to be the case. However, I always saw your full potential! I gave you your first break in this business, and I dare say that for eight years, nobody worked harder in ECW then you! So, what I hold in my hands, is the surprise I promised! LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, YOUR NEW ECW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, TAZZ!"
Heyman hands Tazz the title, Tazz looks at it, nods with approval, and shakes Heyman's hand! Heyman raises Tazz's arm, then...Glass breaks!
"I'm not going to do what you tell me." Stone Cold Steve Austin's theme, fills the arena, and out comes Austin.
He grabs Heyman's mic, acts like he's going to say something, but instead gives Heyman the stunner.
"STUNNER, STUNNER, STUNNER!" Yells Jim Ross as he about has a stroke.
Tazz gets in Austin's face, stares him down, and leaves.
Mean Gene Okerlund interviews The Dudley Boys.
ECW World Tag Team Titles
The Dudley Boys retain against The Hardy Boys.
Hardcore Holly issues an open Hardcore Invitational to anyone man enough to fight him! Hugh Morris accepts the challenge.
Hardcore Match
Hugh Morris beat Hardcore Holly following a moonsault through a table onto Holly.
Mean Gene interviews Kronik.
The APA are in the dressing room discussing the match with Kronik when Polumbo and O'Haire interrupt them! The APA literally kick them out of the dressing room.
Kronik pins the APA when Polumbo and O'Haire cost the APA the match when Polumbo superkicks Bradshaw, and O'Haire swanton's onto Bradshaw when the WWF official had been knocked out by Kronik, and a WCW official made the three count.
Mean Gene interviews Bobby The Brain Heenan and The Big Show.
Big Show (with Bobby Heenan) beat Jerry The King Lawler after a chokeslam.
Michael Cole tries to interview The Undertaker and Kane, but is knocked out by Mean Gene Okerlund.
"Nice try you jabroni, but only Mean Gene handles the interviews from now on! Besides, everybody knows who I am. Nobody knows who the hell you are! Get to steppin!" Says Mean Gene to a down and out Michael Cole as he tries to get up and crawl away.
Mean Gene interviews The Undertaker and Kane.
WWF World Tag Team Titles
The Undertaker and Kane pin Eddie Guerrero and Chris Jericho to win the titles.
The NWO are spotted in a luxury box, and are interviewed by Mean Gene Okerlund! However, Ric Flair, Goldberg, and Sting, attack the NWO! They fight throughout the arena and end up down in the ring! Several security guards are laid out in the process, but the fight is eventually broken up.
Eric Bischoff introduces The Road Warriors! All three remain at ringside for the next match.
The Steiner Brothers beat D-Generation X due to The Road Warriors hitting the Doomsday Device on Triple H, when the WWF official was distracted by Bischoff.
The Rock cuts a backstage promo on DDP.
The Rock beat DDP.
For the next match, Perry Saturn is replaced on commentary by Joey Styles! He remains there for the rest of the night.
Raven, RVD, Tommy Dreamer, and Rhyno beat Too Cool and Edge and Christian when Edge and Christian turn on Too Cool.
After the pin, Edge and Christian reveal their true intentions when they attack Team ECW and Too Cool.
Mean Gene interviews Booker T.
Three Way Dance
Steve Austin beat Booker T and Tazz.
The Next Night On Raw
Hugh Morris comes out and says he's not on team WCW, because they didn't even want him on the roster when he worked there, he says he's not on team ECW, cause he doesn't want to be associated with a bunch of nobodies, and he says he's not on team WWF, cause they apparently don't want him. He says he's with The Unwanted! Out comes, Perry Saturn, Vito LoGrasso, and Justin Credible! Hugh says we are The Unwanted, and sooner rather then later, the world will take notice.
WWF World Tag Team Titles
Lance Storm and Mike Awesome pin Kane and Undertaker to win the titles after The Steiner Brothers interfere.
ECW World Heavyweight Title
Kurt Angle pins Tazz to win the title.
Smackdown
All four Members of The Unwanted attack The Hardy Boys!
The NWO get revenge and take out Ric Flair, Sting, and Goldberg.
The Unwanted attack Edge and Christian.
Raven wins a battle Royal to crown a new Intercontinental Champion.
ECW World Tag Team Titles
Lance Storm and Mike Awesome beat The Dudley Boys and The Hardy Boys (who were still feeling it from the attack by The Unwanted) to win the titles.
Eric Bischoff names The Steiner Brothers the NEW WCW World Tag Team Champions, but all three are attacked by Kane and Undertaker and Bischoff gets tombstoned by The Undertaker.
Raw
WCW United States Heavyweight Title
Rhyno beat Kanyon to win the championship.
The Road Warriors call out D-Generation X! DX comes out and it leads to a brawl around the ringside area. Shawn Michaels gets driven through a table. Triple H drives off The Road Warriors with his sledgehammer.
The Unwanted attack Commissioner William Regal after he refuses to give them a shot at the WWF World Tag Team titles!
The Rock pins Booker T.
Steve Austin pins Tazz
Smackdown
Paul Heyman comes out and cuts a promo, only to be interrupted by Eric Bischoff! Heyman ends up challenging Bischoff to a match.
Big Show (with Bobby Heenan) pins Kane.
The Unwanted are backstage but are jumped by The Hardys and Edge and Christian.
Ric Flair, Sting and Goldberg come to the ring and challenge The NWO to a match! NWO accept via satellite.
The Road Warriors hit the ring, squash two local talents in a match and reintroduce Paul Ellering! D-Generation X hits the ring and attack The Road Warriors.
The APA pin Kronik in a rematch from Invasion.
The Undertaker pins Scott Steiner.
Backstage, Rick Steiner destroys The Undertaker's bike.
Raw
Mr. Perfect returns as a surprise entrant in the RAW RUMBLE, a 20 man Royal Rumble match, for the European Championship! He enters at number 20 and wins the match and title.
Lance Storm and Mike Awesome battle The Steiner Brothers to a double disqualification due to interference from Kane and The Undertaker.
Commissioner William Regal announces The Unwanted will face The Hardy Boys and Edge and Christian right now.
The Unwanted beat The Hardys and Edge and Christian.
Raven pins Kurt Angle clean! Neither man's title is on the line.
Steve Austin, The Rock, and D-Generation X beat The Road Warriors, Booker T, and Eddie Guerrero in an elimination match.
Smackdown
Mr. Perfect pins Chris Jericho to retain the European title.
Big Show (with Bobby Heenan) pins Rikishi.
The Unwanted(Perry Saturn and Justin Credible) pin Lance Storm and Mike Awesome in a non title match.
Commissioner Regal states the NWO want a tune up match before they face Flair, Sting, and Goldberg at the King Of The Ring PPV.
Scott Hall and Kevin Nash destroy Too Cool.
Eddie Guerrero pins WWF Champion Steve Austin in a non-title match.
Raw
The Dudley Boys and Spike Vs. Rikishi, Haku, and The Godfather ends in a no contest.
Eric Bischoff makes a deal with Vince McMahon. He's running the show tonight! He replaces Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler on commentary with Scott Hudson and Bobby The Brain Heenan. He also makes a match for the WCW United States Championship.
United States Heavyweight Championship
Rhyno pins Tommy Dreamer to retain the title.
Mr. Perfect pins The Rock.
The Rock was attacked by the Big Show.
Hugh Morris and Vito LoGrasso pin Edge and Christian.
D-Generation X challenge The Road Warriors for a match at King Of The Ring.
The Undertaker pins Rick Steiner after a tombstone.
Backstage, Scott Steiner attacks Kane with a led pipe, and breaks Kane's arm.
Smackdown Before King Of The Ring
The NWO want another tune up. This time for Hogan. Commissioner Regal makes it happen.
Hollywood Hulk Hogan pins Spike Dudley after a legdrop. The NWO attack Spike even further, but D-Von and Buh Buh Ray make the save.
European Title
Mr. Perfect beat Eddie Guerrero by disqualification to retain the title.
Jerry Lynn (ECW) pins Lance Storm (WCW).
Raven versus Kurt Angle in a title for title match is made for King Of The Ring!
Commissioner Regal announces that for the first time ever, The King Of The Ring Award will be decided in a huge 40 man over the top rope battle royal!
The Unwanted (Saturn and Morris) pin The Hardys.
Sting and Goldberg want a tune up match, against Hall and Nash! Regal makes it happen.
Sting and Goldberg versus Hall and Nash ends in no-contest! The NWO and The dubbed, Untouchables, brawl to end the show.
