Chapter Two: El Monstro; Also Known As The Masked Frankenstein
#PWHS #Article #UnusualWrestler #ElMonstro #MaskedFrankenstein

1978-1989 caused unusual mayhem leaving a few broken bones and bloody résumé. He looked comical with built up shoes and an umpire's chest protector under his shirt. But the comedy was trumped by his great entrance and unstoppable violence in the rings of Arizona, Mexico, and California.
His most famous match ended up as a shoot between him and a grumpy Andre the Giant. Andre took his mask off his head holding it out of his reach, laughing at him along with the fans. Rumor has it they both left with broken ribs as Andre received one of his worst beatings ever. Promoters were hot at both of them as they both missed several bookings to nurse their real injuries.
I saw him in LA and thought he was actually scary.
