"Bull" Curry
#PWHS #Article #Wrestling #ProWrestling #Hardcore #HardcoreWrestling #HardcoreElite #BullCurry

Before hardcore was known, a Fred Koury Sr became the (credited) originator. At age sixteen he joined the circus as the “tough man” who once defeated sixty-five men in a row. His style led to the originating of a new title: the Brass Knuckles belt and he won it twenty times in Texas. Bull had an unusual “escape from the asylum” look that included bushy eyebrows, and insane eyes.
He was so hated and averaged-sized that it caused too many people to decide to try and challenge him….bad mistake! One fan’s jaw was broken with a single punch, another laid unconscious for two days after one hard punch, and one-hundred-and-forty fans were once hospitalized after a riot broke out during a match of his.
Later on he teamed with his clean-cut, high-flying son for one of the most unusual tags of all time. He finally retired in the 70’s after wrestling/brawling into his sixties.
